Heather Ragnars is an Icelandic/Canadian singer‑songwriter and composer currently based in Iceland. Influenced by Folk and RnB from the 50s, 60s, and the modern age, she crafts music that feels both vintage and contemporary. After being voted into the Top Ten and then the Top Five Singer‑songwriters in Montreal by readers of Cult MTL, she independently released her debut EP, Bench Warmer. Known for a vintage‑tinged voice often compared to Amy Winehouse and Lana Del Rey, she became a fixture at Montreal’s cabaret club The Wiggle Room, performing with a full band and Burlesque Artists. In 2023, she earned a BFA in Composition from Concordia University. Whether scoring to picture, to script, or writing from lived experience, she thrives on collaboration and the creative challenges that elevate her work. Now entering a new chapter in Reykjavik, she is releasing a series of singles throughout the year leading up to her forthcoming album, Spilling Tea.
