PINSLEEP is a solo, art-pop act by an acclaimed, Belfast-based violinist, singer and producer Aga Olek.

Using layered violin, guitar effects, voice and electronics PINSLEEP creates songs and soundscapes inspired by the sci fi literature and the inner cosmos. By bringing together experiences across different genres, PINSLEEP is crossing the boundaries between, songs, pieces and improvisation.

In 2025 PINSLEEP was touring the UK’s major cities and venues, supporting the British pianist Alexis Ffrench on his world tour. Currently Aga is focusing on the release of PINSLEEP’S debut, self-produced album, ‘Black is not Forever’.

Aga is also studying for a PhD in music at the Queens University in Belfast. Through her practice- based research she is forming a ‘Cyborg ensemble’- a band consisting of both acoustic instruments and generative music making tools (machine learning, artificial intelligence).

While exploring new sonic possibilities and textures, Aga is also looking at human- machine relationships from a perspective of a woman working with music technology.
